Running 80 mph on a highway is a very impressive thing to do

Lets have a big welcome for NBC in the Jerry-Bruckheimer-club. Now they have with Chase a series on their schedule, which is executive produced by the man, who has the money to produce TV shows. It seems like he lost all interest in financing and developing movies, instead he found his niche in television. Which could be considered nice, but maybe Bruckheimer should think about getting into more serious TV business. Because Chase is a series like all the other he produced: monotone, boring, featureless. Going over to Kelli Giddish, unfairly dubbed as the “Anna Torv for poor people”: She doesn’t have much luck with her TV roles – Past Life was a big stinker, and now Chase, where she can’t show any of her acting abilities. But it will be interesting to know if Chase will live longer than Past Life ever did. After seeing the pilot episode, I can already say that Past Life died during its first minutes via ridiculousness (and I died on an overdose of laughing) , while Chase is just boring, but the series will find its audience. And hey, finally there is a new series on NBC’s 10pm slot on Monday, which could end on a solid level. Or the losing streak holds on after a couple of weeks, and NBC has to reschedule this slot with Law & Order episodes – as always.
