The detectives are released in Detroit to investigate murders

I love cop shows. Third Watch can be considered as one of my favorite TV shows, even though I only know the first three seasons and the first four episodes of season four (the damned German television never aired the last three seasons, and I am waiting for the DVD packs). I am in love with Southland am awaiting the premiere of the third season in January. As long as real cops are on the streets, investigating the big cases and the little things like a missing cat, showing that the job can be interesting, thrilling and scary at the same time, these shows will always win my heart. When Detroit 1-8-7 was ordered by ABC, together with the mockumentary style, I was more happy than a 5-year-old kid at Christmas. But when the news came that the producers cut out the mockumentary style, I wanted to kill somebody. Detroit 1-8-7 could have revolutionized the genre, but now it is just another “real-looking” cop show, where the detectives win the screentime and real cops lose, because there aren’t any characters being officers.Furthermore, the pilot looks awkward with the mockumentary style being cut out.
