Charmed was once a kinda interesting fantasy show about breeds of nun-humans, who are among the citizens of San Francisco and lived their own deadly life; Buffy and her circle of vampires and demons always killed honest citizens in Sunnydale; other shows with supernatural characters are sometimes something in-between and sometimes even something special. The new breed in this genre is the Canadian fantasy series “Lost Girl”, and it is more a Charmed ripoff without sisters being witches than anything else. Maybe it is the Canadian version of ABC’s “The Gates”, which I haven’t seen so far. But “Lost Girl” is only one thing: really, really crappy. And yet absolutely entertaining. This fantasy series developed to a mystery show, and it is a mystery why I actually liked the first 43 minutes and feel the hunger of at least watching the next couple of episodes, just to see if “Lost Girl” remains in this crappy form or gets better than Charmed ever was.
