The Bridge: A Different Cop Land

It is a normal day for Frank. At least for the moment.
Cops take an oath to be honest and faithful in their police duties and private life. They’re trusted protectors of the public and the law. But what happens, when the “old boys” establishment behind the badge reveals a different – often conflicting – message? What happens, when cops are in the middle of corruption, politics and murder, and there is nobody to protect the fellow officers?
CBS and CTV took on that topic and produced a realistic cop drama, which just premiered on CTV and waits for an air date on CBS. And that’s why I took this two-hour pilot episode for a review. Since Flashpoint was successful for a co-production between Canadian broadcaster CTV and US network CBS, they try it with The Bridge now, and it looks like it could be another little TV blockbuster. At least in Canada.
